About the Rating
We at Orange have developed the following Rating System to assist parents, consumers, and Manga fans in making informed decisions when selecting a manga title and assessing its suitability for young readers. Please use these ratings as a reference when choosing an appropriate title.
Ratings are determined based on the level and prevalence of graphic and thematic elements in the series, including violence, nudity, sexual content, profanity, and references to alcohol, tobacco, or drug abuse. We also consider sensitive themes such as bullying, abuse, self-harm, or terrorism that may be present in the title.
Please note that these ratings are based on our subjective evaluation and they are meant for general guidance only.
All Ages
This content is suitable for readers of all ages. It may include some strong language and mild violence. While this content is generally appropriate for all readers, parental guidance is advised to determine age-appropriateness when selecting a title for young children.Teen (13+)
This content is suitable for readers aged 13 or older. It may contain moderate violence (such as martial arts or action/fight sequences, explosions, chases, gunfights, hand-to-hand combat, etc.), depictions of blood, strong language, suggestive themes or situations, brief nudity and alcohol and/or tobacco use. Parental guidance is advised to assess its suitability for younger teens.Older Teen (16+)
This content is suitable for for readers aged 16 years and older. It may include intense violence, bloody scenes, sexual themes, mild nudity, frequent use of strong language, and the use of alcohol, tobacco, or other substances. Parental guidance is advised to assess its suitability for readers under age 16.Mature (18+)
This content is suitable for readers aged 18 or older. It may contain explicit sexual situations and nudity, intense and/or persistent violence (including gore or splatter), offensive language and profanity, depictions of criminal or illegal activities, alcohol or tobacco use, or drug abuse, and/or other mature themes.
